The Society serves individuals and organizations statewide through publications, outreach programs, curriculum, free virtual public programs, and other online services. However, the majority of the Society's interactions with the public occur at the Washington State History Museum, located in Tacoma, Washington. The Museum traditionally serves more than 80,000 annually, including more than 15,000 K-12 school children visiting the museum on a field trip. We place members at organizations throughout the Wenatchee Valley like the Wenatchee School District, SkillSource, Wenatchee Valley Senior Activity Center, Eastmont School District, Brewster School District, Chelan-Douglas Community Action Council and more. Grand Central Bakery is looking for an experienced manager to lead our facilities team.

The Facilities Manager works in close collaboration with all departmental managers to ensure that Grand Central Bakery has procedures, staffing and services in place to maintain safe, sanitary, and inviting production plants and cafes. The Facilities Manager is responsible for ensuring their staff have the tools, knowledge, systems, and support in place to support Grand Central Bakery’s mission and financial goals. This position develops skilled and passionate workers able to carry out the daily tasks and projects efficiently and safely as a core responsibility.

Integral to their team, the Facilities Manager balances administrative duties with time scheduled on the floor as a high functioning crew member, providing additional coverage as necessary during employee illness or vacation. This position provides basic, routine preventative maintenance as directed.


Grand Central Bakery is a dynamic company with a diverse workforce. This includes a significant amount of Spanish speakers. The Facilities Manager will need to be able to navigate communications in English and Spanish.

Rate of Pay: This position pays $72,000 annually. 

Schedule: Full-time. Afternoon/Evenings. Schedule flexibility and the ability to work weekends and holidays is required.

The Washington Higher Education Facilities Authority (WHEFA) is seeking candidates to fill one public board member position. This position will be appointed by Governor Inslee’s office.

As a member of the WHEFA board, you can support our state's nonprofit colleges and universities by approving financing of campus projects that benefit students. These projects may include new residence halls, science labs, sports facilities, and energy efficiency and technological upgrades. Ideal candidates would have an interest and background in higher education and/or finance. The review process will begin on March 14, 2024.

UA Sprinkler Fitters Local 669 Apprenticeship Program career training

Sprinkler Fitters are pipefitting specialists in fire protection. We install, repair, and maintain all types of sprinkler systems, including underground piping. While most of this work deals directly with automatic sprinkler systems, we also install and service a wide variety of other specialty fire protection systems.

Boilermakers Western States Apprenticeship Program

The Boilermakers Trade includes the fabrication, installation, modification and repair of boilers, hydro dams, tanks, pressure vessels, furnaces and associated equipment such as stacks, platforms in power plants, petroleum refinement, chemical plants, paper mills, steel mills and food and beverage plants. The skills required of a construction boilermaker consists of reading blueprints, rigging of heavy loads, burning, welding, layout, fit up, fabrication of metal parts and often working in tight spaces and high places in excesses of 100 feet.
