POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

COMMUNITY SERVICES CASE MANAGER

POSITION SUMMARY:   The Housing Authority of Snohomish County (HASCO) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Community Services Case Manager. A successful applicant for this position will be highly organized and able to handle competing priorities with a healthy sense of humor and commitment to success. You’ll present yourself as a professional, demonstrate excellent rapport building skills and have a strong ability and desire to provide great client service. This position is responsible for assisting clients in maintaining housing from initial referral to the end of participation.  Duties include engaging participants in trusting relationships, providing participants with information and support in identifying internal and external resources, provide ongoing and active outreach to tenants, conduct comprehensive assessments and work with tenants and property management to coordinate eviction prevention efforts. Position may manage computerized service data and reporting systems. Work requires strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to respond to crisis situations.

QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor’s degree in social or behavioral science required. Minimum one-year experience working with populations who are homeless, have mental illness, chronic health conditions, and/or substance disorders or any equivalent combination of education, training and previous work experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities. Master’s Degree in social work or related field preferred.

COMPENSATION:        The annual salary is $52,315.  The Housing Authority offers a very competitive benefit package including medical and dental insurance, supplemental insurance policies, retirement and deferred compensation plans. The Housing Authority also provides flexible schedule options and generous paid time off, including holiday pay.

These 5 self-led courses are for Community Health Workers to improve their skills and understanding of Motivational Interviewing, Diabetes and Pre-Diabetes, Hypertension, Oral Health or Advocacy Skills. Our target audience is outlined by our enrollment criteria

Enrollment Criteria:

  1. Washington State Resident – Priority will be given to participants who are currently Washington state residents.

  2. Language requirement – The target population is Spanish speakers. Spanish language skills are required to complete these courses.

  3. Current CHW – Participants who self- identify as currently engaging in CHW work in any capacity (full time, part time, volunteer) will receive priority registration.

  4. Space Availability- For the initial launch of these new self-led Spanish HSMs, enrollment will be limited to 50 participants. DOH trainers will review registration requests and prioritize enrollments based on space availability for each class.

Job Summary:

Latino Community Fund views young people as community leaders, both now and in the
future. Alianza Leadership Network is LCF’s youth organizing and civic engagement
program and coordinates with other youth engagement programs to include and connect
youth from across the state. LCF’s youth programs work primarily with high school and
college students to become leaders in the community by informing them on critical issues
and providing opportunities to advocate for themselves and the issues that impact their
community. LCF is seeking someone to support these efforts in the Puget Sound area.

The coordinator will be reporting in collaboration with the Director of Civic Engagement and
Advocacy; as well as must be able to manage the following specific responsibilities:

  • Recruit, train, and coordinate young adult Alianza members, volunteers, and other
    student groups in civic engagement activities;

  • Plan, coordinate, and facilitate regular meetings with Alianza organizers, members,
    and support the Alianza steering committee;

  •  Conduct educational activities and workshops for youth to inform them of issues
    impacting immigrant youth and college student/young adult communities, including
    the Latinx community;

  • Participate in community organizing efforts to build a constituent base of informed
    and engaged youth and college student community leaders;

  • Work closely with the Civic Engagement and Advocacy team to plan, develop and
    strengthen existing and new strategies while building meaningful relationships and
    model appropriate positive interactions with community members and community
    partners;

  • Engage in advocacy efforts on behalf of youth, young adults, immigrants, and low-income community members;

  • Help oversee individual program budgets and ensure proper financial stewardship.

 

Minimum Requirements:

Candidates will be evaluated on the basis of the following:

  • Strong interest in social justice issues with an intersectional and equity lens;

  • Desire to empower the Latinx community;

  • Have experience in working with youth;

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills;

  • Strong organizational skills and independence, requiring minimal supervision
    acquired from at least one year of experience in a similar field;

  • Self-starter and motivated;

  • Effective communication skills: interpersonal, electronic, and other mediums;

  • Willingness to travel and have reliable transportation.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience in working with youth (strongly preferred);

  • Experience in working with grant contracts (strongly preferred);

  • Experience in curriculum development (preferred);

  • Spanish-language skills (preferred).

KHQ-TV has an opening for a full time Master Control Operator.  Job responsibilities include recording and playback of programs & commercial content, operation of automation systems, monitoring of signal quality as well as control of broadcast transmitting equipment to insure FCC compliance.   Applicants must have working knowledge of broadcast equipment and procedures.  Computer experience is required.  Must be available to work flexible hours including holidays, nights, weekends and overnights.  Must also be a team player, work well under pressure, be able to multi-task, have attention to detail, a positive attitude and a work ethic based on honesty and integrity. The City of Seattle's Department of Education & Early Learning with finding an Early Learning Training Coordinator who will design, coordinate, implement, and manage a high volume of trainings for early learning educators. The person in this role will partner with both internal and external stakeholders to develop efficient processes to meet the training needs of early learning professionals, including: coordinating city-required training for early learning professionals who contract with the City as directed by the QPPD manager, and/or legislative directive; designing and applying evaluation tools to measure training quality and effectiveness; working with internal and external subject matter experts on instructional design and development of all training events; and researching the most effective training designs and methodology to increase access to training opportunities for Seattle's culturally and linguistically diverse early learning educators.
